How to create users on the CyberPilot platform
Use this article when you need to create users on the CyberPilot platform, whether you're adding one or several hundred at once.
There are three ways to create users on the CyberPilot platform: manually, in bulk through a file upload, or automatically through a Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace integration. Use this article to find the method that fits your situation, then follow the link to the full guide.
Create a single user manually
Creating a user manually is the right choice if you only need to add one user, or a handful of users, at a time.
- Log in to the CyberPilot platform and go to Users in the sidebar.
- Select Create new.
- Fill in the required fields: username, first name, last name, email address, role, and language. We recommend using the user's email address as the username.
- Select the user's role: admin or user.
- Optionally, assign the user to a branch or a group.
- Set the user's status to active.
- Optionally, turn on Temporary account and select an expiration date if the user should only have access for a limited time.
- Select Create.
The user is then added to your Users list with the status you selected. If the user's email domain isn't verified on your account and you have an active phishing product, a warning appears after you create the user - see Domain verification. The admin role can't be assigned if the user's email domain isn't verified.

Create multiple users at once through a file upload
Uploading a file is the right choice if you need to create many users at once - for example, when you're setting up your account for the first time.
- Go to Users
- Select Import/export.
- Select Import users, then download the import template if you don't already have your users in a CSV or Excel file. Required fields are marked with a * in the template.
- Fill in the template with your users, then upload the file.
- Review the confirmation screen. It shows a summary of how many users will be created, updated, or removed.
- Confirm the import.
Users are created or updated based on what's in the file. Once you confirm, the new users are added to your Users list.

Automatically create users through Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace
An automated integration is the right choice if you want users to be created on the CyberPilot platform automatically whenever they're added to your organization's Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace directory, and if you want employees to log in with their existing Microsoft or Google credentials through Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Microsoft Entra ID: after setup, you can select Sync now to create users immediately, or let the CyberPilot platform keep user access up to date automatically going forward.
Full guide: Microsoft Entra ID and Single Sign-On - Google Workspace: the CyberPilot platform syncs Google Groups automatically once per day. Select Sync now to sync immediately instead of waiting for the daily sync. Once the sync runs, all users in the specified Google Group automatically appear in your CyberPilot user list.

Important: if you use one of these integrations, users managed by your directory must be edited in that directory going forward. Changes made manually or through a file upload won't apply to those users.
If you need to add a user who isn't in your Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace directory, see Adding Users Outside Of Your Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) or Google AD.
