Basics of OT Security

OT (Operational Technology) is different from IT (Information Technology.

OT is the digital technology which run physical machines such as those relating to production, supply and distribution.

For organizations who rely on OT, the integrity and security of the technology is key to ensure daily operations don't experience major disruptions.

Many aspects of IT security also apply to OT security, but with some key differences in exactly how to enact them. This includes updating software, passcodes and unauthorized access to devices.

This course covers the basics. The general awareness and good tips that all employees who come into contact with OT should know. It is not a course aimed at the specialists or supervisors who have to make systematic decisions, but covers everyday routines and good habits that keep the systems secure.
